This product, also known as cationic cellulose, is a product obtained by reacting hydroxyethyl cellulose with dehydrated glyceryl ammonium chloride. The cationic cellulose is readily soluble in a water- and water-miscible solvent mixture, the solution is colorless or pale yellow, transparent, the cationic cellulose is insoluble in ethanol and isopropanol, and its aqueous solution has an alcohol tolerance to the polymer concentration. Cationic cellulose is a high molecular polymer with excellent conditioning, repairability and water solubility. It is produced using the latest chemical processes and the cationic portion of the polymer is more evenly distributed over the cellulose chain links.
