This type of floating seal consists of two components: seal ring is made of forge steel and elastomeric ring,two identical rings are made of a pair.
DO type metal face seal,it canbe installed on undercarriage or front idler components of bulldozer machine,seal group keeps out silt,sand,foreign substance to operate for a long time period.


Detailed Description:
Our floating seal ring is made of 100Cr6 which is made as the semi-finished product through hot forging and rolling forming; after machining, heat treatment and quenching shall be performed on product working face to optimize the metallographical structure of this part; the surface hardness will be increased to around 58-62 HRC to improve the abrasive resistance of sealing face of this part. A pair of quality nitrile (or HNBR,FKM,VMQ) rubber gasket will be provided to ensure the service life of the ring.

DO type floating seal should be assembled correctly,otherwise it will leads to leak oil and shorten span life.Following the three steps of installation:
Step one
To check the elastomeric ring isnot nick and cut,and make sure the elastomeric ring is straight on the metal ring and not twisted,then the housing should be cleared up by wipe.

Step two
Confirm the end of housing bore should be parallel to the sliding band of floating seal,the life span willbe shortened if the installation method is not correct.Use measuring device to check the assembled height variation in a least four places.


Step third
Wipe the surface of each metal face seal,make sure that the surface is free of any foreign material,and apply for lubricant oil to it.
