Wire mesh used for gabions, made of galvanized steel wire or solid wire coated galfan.In the case when the gabions are used in hostile environments, the wire galvanizing or coating galfan before coated PVC can provide greater resistance to chemical, mechanical and corrosion damage.Gabions are filled with any stone material surpassing the size of the diameter of the grid cell.It can be rock, gravel, quarry, stone fraction of 100-300mm.The selected material must weigh all the relevant characteristics of the static and functional requirements of buildings erected and its service life.

Gabions are mainly used for construction of retaining walls, building of embankments of roads and railways, river and sea shore protection, landscaping, stabilization of soil erosion and conservation of soil.Due to very good hydraulic characteristics are used for shore protection of rivers, construction of weirs and dams.Gabions with PVC coating used to protect the coasts.
