The GNGPC002 , small form-factor pluggable (SFP) is a compact, hot-pluggable network interface module used for both telecommunication and data communications applications. An SFP interface on networking hardware is a modular slot for a media-specific transceiver in order to connect a fiber-optic cable or sometimes a copper cable.[1] The advantage of using SFPs compared to fixed interfaces (e.g. modular connectors in Ethernet switches) is that individual ports can be equipped with any suitable type of transceiver as needed.

Overview - GPON SFP Series:

The GPON OLT transceiver is small form factor pluggable module for serial optical data communications such as ITU-T G.984. It is with the SFP 20-pin connector to allow hot plug capability.

This module is designed for single mode fiber and operates at a nominal wavelength of 1490 nm.

The transmitter section uses a 1490nm DFB laser and is a class 1 laser compliant according to International safety standard IEC-60825.
