The structure of the vacuum press roll is similar to that of the vacuum roll, but there are several differences. The vacuum chamber width of the vacuum press roll is narrower, usually 100mm. The diameter of the small hole in the surface of the vacuum press roll is about 4.5mm. The opening rate of the roll surface is low, which is generally 15-25%. The vacuum box can be divided in different zones, for different levels. The connection with the vacuum system is provided on the front side or on the drive side if the roll is not directly driven, thus avoiding the installation of the internal bearing, useful solution for smooth operations and an easy maintenance.
