500X PN16 ductile iron water relief pressure valve

Pressure Reducing Valve automatically reduces a higher inlet pressure to a steady lower downstream pressure, regardless of changing flow rate and/or varying inlet pressure.
This valve is an accurate, pilot-operated regulator capable of holding downstream pressure to a re-determined limit. When downstream pressure exceeds the pressure setting of the control pilot, the main valve and pilot valve close drip-tight.

Our Pressure Reduing Valve are adopt the lastest technologies, with fully bore design, lowest head lose when fully open.

The Pressure Reducing Valve is design with anti-cavitation for application where there is high potential for damage from Cavitation, which provide optimum internal pressure control through a unique anti-cavitation trim design.

Working mechanism and Application

When it is used as a pressure relief valve,the main valve is installed at sluicing bypass way,it means that it is installed and connected in parallel with the main pipelines.when the upstream pressure rising up gradually,and start to exceed the set value pressure of the pilot valve(seen 13 in the drawing),the main valve will start to open up and sluice water to lower the water pressure to below the set value pressure of the pilot valve(Seen 13 in the drawing),then the main valve will close slowly and stably, and prevent water hammering happens, guarantee the pipeline safe.

When it is used as pressure relief valve,it is mainly used for removing the exceeded water pressure generated by situations that water supply is more than water consuming and the difference increases gradually and result high water pressure. It is often seen in situations of initial stage when open the fire hydrant systems,and the outlets of automatic spraying system and all kinds of water supply pumps.The ball valve(seen 12 in the drawing) is open state when is used as pressure relief valve.

And when it is used as pressure sustaining valve,the main valve is installed in main pipeline,it is connected in-line(series connected) with the main pipeline.As long as the water pressure at main valve upstream is lower than the set valve pressure of pilot valve,the main valve will stay at close state,when water supply pressure of the main valve upstream exceeds set vaule pressure of the pilot valve,the main valve will open automatically and supply water to downstream so that it can make the water pressure at upstream at a stable pressure ranges. It is mainly used to maintain a certain lowest water pressure value in main pipelines in city. Especially, for fire situations happens,it can prevent branched pipeline water users pumping water excessively,and then lower the water supply pressures.When use as the sustaining valve,the ball valve(Seen 12 in the drawing) is close state or replace it with pipe plugs.

Structures
This valve is consisted of main valve(master valve),pilot valve,Guide regulating valve,needle valve,ball valve,micro-strainer and pressure meters(Pressure gauge). Because the pilot valve, needle valve and the pressure gauge are connected to main valve(master valve) by conduit pipes,so it is also called conduit pipe controlled system.it is divided into diaphragm type and piston type according to different pipe diameter size.Seen in the drawing below:
