How It Works
In a closed hot water circuit, the water cannot be compressed so any increase in volume, created by an increase in temperature, has to be accommodated by an expansion vessel.
When water is cold, the pre-charge pressure forces the bladder to collapse until the pump is started when the bladder starts to inflate.
As the temperature in the system increases, with the associated increase in pressure and volume, the expanded water enters the
bladder creating additional volume and lowering the pressure.When the temperature decreases, the pre-charge pressure forces the
water from the bladder and back into the main water circuit.
 

Taizhou Tianyang  Electrical Co.,LTD recommend that the air pressure is checked annually and adjusted if necessary. This can be done using an air pressure gauge and foot pump.

Basic Introduction

An expansion tank or expansion vessel is a small tank used to protect closed water heating systems and domestic hot water systems from excessive pressure. The tank is partially filled with air, whose compressibility cushions shock caused by water hammer and absorbs excess water pressure caused by thermal expansion.

Expansion vessels are devices designed to accommodate the increase in the volume of water due to the raising of its temperature, both in heating systems and in domestic hot water production systems. They are also used as hydro-pneumatic well in domestic water distribution systems

The Centrebrand sealed system expansion vessel is intended for use on sealed heating and chilled systems. The vessel is comprised of a high strength steel shell and butyl rubber diaphragm.
