The felt comprises 10-60 wt % glass fibers of varying lengths, 15-80 wt % cellulosic fiber and 5-25% binder. The roofing material is felt of the invention saturated with asphaltic saturant and coated with filled asphaltic coating material and conventional roofing granules.
