Working Principle
The trommel screen is whirling in high speed by variable speed reducer system which causing the materials to be separated, where the fine particle is passing through the screen mesh while the heavy and rough material is separated at the rear of the drum.
Furthermore, GTS Drum Screen/Trommel Screen contains a comb-shaped sieve cleaning structure which works with the screen cylinder simultaneously to clean it continuously. By this action, the screen is able to achieve clean, non-stick, no blocking performance during the operation.

Common Troubles and Troubleshooting Methods
Only select, use trammel screen correctly and make sure the routine maintenance, can make the trammel screen work effectively, and achieved good results process. Now I will show you some knowledge about common troubles and troubleshooting of Trommel screen.
The trommel screen screening quality is not good screening quality, the reason may be sieve clogged, sieve should be cleaned regularly; if the reason is screen surface damaged, just replace the screen surface; when the material moisture is higher, oversize is too thick, When it serious impact the screening process, you can considered increase the mesh to improve screening efficiency;
When the rotation rate of the trommel screen is not enough, mainly because the transfer belt is too loose, you should adjust the tightness of the transfer belt promptly, belt too tight or too loose will cause the belt easily shorten the service life of the trommel screen;
Bearing lack of oil, if the bearing working a long time without cleaning, can make bearing heating, bearings should be cleaned regularly, replace the seals, check the bearing greasing or oil quality meets the requirements; if the bearing wear seriously you'd better replace the bearings;
The shaft of trammel screen cannot turn up, check whether the seal sleeve is plugged, if so you just need clean up the sleeve;
The trommel screen gives out abnormal sounds during the operation, you should stop it immediately, check the screen tension, the bearing degree of wear, whether the bolted is loose and whether the spring is damaged.
