(1) Heat dissipation advantages of materials: The material of the new product uses high-strength aluminum alloy. The thermal conductivity of aluminum is 204W/(M*K). At present, the cooler's material used for the transformer is steel, and its thermal conductivity is 45W/(M *K) (natural cooling fin radiator). Obviously, from the new product material, the conduction thermal efficiency is three times of the existing finned radiator.
(2) Heat dissipation advantages of structure: internal oil passage of fins and external air passage of heat dissipation fins greatly increase the internal and external heat transfer surface area, and the calculation results show that the new product can increase the heat exchange area by 5-6 times, and the heat dissipation performance, the original heat dissipation structure and heat dissipation effect are not the same as the old one.
(3) The advantage of light weight and small volume: Due to the material, the new finned radiator  is light in weight, and as the different structure, under the same heat dissipation performance, the volume is relatively small, and the internal volume is very small, so the oil filling amount is greatly reduced.
(5) The use of a new air oil cooler for transformer can greatly reduce the cost of accessories, which can be summarized as follows:
a. The structural characteristics of the new finned radiator make the heat dissipation performance extremely strong. Therefore, the flow of the oil pump matched with the air cooler can be halved, and the motor power of the oil pump can be reduced.
b. The air volume of the new oil cooler's fan is reduced, so the fan power can be reduced;
c. The internal volume of the new finned radiator is reduced, so the oil consumption of the transformer can be reduced by a large amount, which is about 1/2-3/5 of the volume of the traditional oil cooler;
d. The oil temperature of the new oil cooler can be controlled below 55 °C (in summer), so the oil specification of the transformer can be lowered;
e. The new finned radiator is small in size and light in weight, which not only makes lifting easier, but also greatly reduces the cost of transportation;
f. The new radiator has better performance and lowers the oil temperature, which brings optimization possibilities for structural improvement inside of the transformer.

In short, using the new air oil cooler not only has good heat dissipation performance, but also brings optimization to the transformer. This is not only related to the heat dissipation effect of the transformer, but also related to energy saving and energy consumption.
