is a small wind turbine . Wind turbines are electric generators that use the kinetic energy of the wind to generate
electricity for home use, in rural homes, in cottages, on boats, etc.


OPERATING MODE-EFFICIENCY OF WIND TURBINES

How do wind turbines generate electricity? It's simple: a wind turbine works in reverse from a fan. 
Instead of using electricity to generate wind like a fan, wind turbines use wind to generate electricity. 
The wind turns the blades, which rotate an axis, which is connected to a generator and which produces electricity.
So wind turbines convert wind energy into kinetic energy and then into electricity

TYPES OF WIND TURBINES
 
There are 2 types of wind turbines:
Horizontal axis wind turbines
Vertical shaft wind turbines

Their difference lies in the axis of rotation of the fins. In horizontal axis wind turbines the blades rotate with
a horizontal axis of rotation towards the earth surface, while in the vertical axis the axis of rotation is
perpendicular to the earth surface.

The horizontal axis wind turbines have prevailed because they have higher efficiency (35-40%) compared to
what vertical-axis wind turbines (15%)

 

BASIC PARTS OF THE WIND TURBINE

A wind turbine consists of the rotor with the blades , the main body, the tail and the support base.
The wind turbine blades  are applied on the  rotor , which they rotate with the force of the wind.

The main body contains the transmission shaft, gearbox, conversion generator and brake.

The support base or support tower in most cases consists of a pipe of suitable thickness and diameter
and the support cables. The hose should be reclining, for easy access to the wind turbine
