Industry Fire sleeve is designed to protect hoses,wires and cables from the hazards of high heat and occasional flame.
Fire Sleeve protects continuously to 260°C/500°F and will withstand a molten splash at 1200°C/2200°F. Made of braided fiberglass yarns in a flexible substrate,it is then coated with a high grade silicone rubber.
Resistant to hydraulic fluids, Lubricating oils,and fuels, Silicone Sleeve insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing;protects employees from burns;and allows bunding of wires,hoses,and cables.
Industry Fire sleeve is the perfect cover to protect hydraulic hoses,pneumatic lines and wiring bundles.
Silicone coated fiberglass Fire Sleeve can withstand repeated exposures to molten steel, molten aluminum and molten glass up to 3000°F (1650°C).
Always wear safety glasses, dust mask, gloves and long sleeves are recommended when handling this product
Technical Information
Industrial Pyrojacket is a knitted high bulk glass fibre sleeve that can withstand continuous exposure up to 260 C (500F) of molten steel, molten aluminium and molten glass; up to 1090C (2000F) for 15-20 minutes; and up to 1650C (3000F) for 15-30 seconds. Sheds splash immediately, guard against fraying and absorption. Excellent modules of elasticity makes it an excellent choice for bundling hoses, tubes and cables in a variety of hostile environments.
Special Features
The heavy red coating of the proprietary Iron Oxide Silicone Rubber compounds sheds molten metal splash immediately, so very little heat transfer occurs. When exposed to flame, the rubber transforms into a curst, creating a protective SiO² refractory layer. The newly developed Odourless End Dip is designed to coat Pyrojacket at the ends - this special formulation prevents fraying and absorption of flammable oils or other contaminants into exposed glass fibres.Applications
