PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) and TC (Tungsten carbide) Radial Bearing is used as antifriction bearing for downhole motor, which is widely used in  oil/ gas drilling, geological exploration, coal mining and many other drilling and milling applications. In down-hole drilling tools, large thrust loads can result from drilling and from the hydraulic loading caused by drilling mud flowing through tool components. PCD bearings provide a high-performance alternative to conventional bearings. PCD bearings are virtually impervious to abrasive particles in the drilling mud that often cause ball bearings to wear out more quickly.


Our PDC radial bearings are designed to carry the radial, or side loads, in down-hole drilling tools. Drills-King bearings offer a more abrasive resistant bearing with the potential to increase tool life, reliability, and side load carrying capacity than tungsten carbide alternatives.

Some loading scenarios may require bearings that sustain both thrust and radial loads. Our bearings for combined loads are custom designed for each application. Polycrystalline Diamond bearings can be manufactured by Drills-King Bearings to meet these requirements.
 

One pair PDC thrust bearing includes one upper ring and bottom ring, which includes two parts: tungsten carbide and PDC compact. PDC thrust bearing is made with standard brazing technology, its compact surface hardness is very high, the compact surface flatness of PDC compact is very low and difficult to produce.  With many times improvement research and development, we use more advanced welding and grinding technology, has overcome the flatness problem of PDC compact contact surface, make the contact flatness less than 0.02mm, so that strongly improves PDC thrust bearing using life.

Tungsten carbide annular ball bearing (TC bearing) adapts the Sintering process of high temperature furnace, which consists of a carcass with tungsten powder and tungsten carbide, sintered blend, processed by mechanical together.

TC bearing has high abrasion resistance, erosion resistance, high-hardness, combined with a solid about coalition of the sintered layer and rigid, no peeling falling cuttings, using life could be more 300 hours.
