MEMS Nitrogen Dioxide gas sensors use MEMS technology to make micro-hot plates on Si-based substrates. The gas-sensitive materials used are metal oxide semiconductor materials with low conductivity in clean air. When there is a detected gas in the ambient air, the conductivity of the sensor changes. The higher the concentration of the gas, the higher the conductivity of the sensor. Using a simple circuit, the change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration.
