Working Theory

The treatment utilizes high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to permanently destroy subcutaneous adipose tissue in the anterior abdomen and flanks. The transducer, contained within the Replaceable Treatment Cartridge (RTC), focuses energy at specific depths, creating a rapid rise in local temperature at the targeted area.
HIFU relies on the fact that, above a threshold of 56ºC(for >1 second), irreversible cell death occurs. The system offers precisely focused delivery of energy that does not harm surrounding skin, tissue, or organs.
