Warm-up after power-on
Install the instrument in a suitable working environment and connect to power. Turn on the power switch of the instrument. When it reaches a stable state after warming up for 30 minutes, it can be normally used.
 
Calibration
a. Insert the attached standard background card into the measuring slot of the instrument to calibrate the background for 1000 seconds without inserting a card. The calibration result shall be BGC ≤ BGM. Insert the attached standard background card into the measuring slot for sample measurement (set the parameter MOD_CON to 0), and the measurement result C should be negative.
 
b. Insert the attached standard efficiency card into the measuring slot for sample measurement (set the parameter MOD_CON to 0), and the measurement result C should be within ±30% of the labeled value.
 
When the conditions of a and b are met simultaneously, the instrument can be operated normally.
 
Sample collection:
a. The subject takes one 14C-Urea on an empty stomach or two hours after eating.
 
b. Sit for 15-25 minutes.
 
c. Unpack the collection card and connect the mouthpiece to the card body. The subject blows into the card through the mouthpiece with appropriate force. The subject may exchange breath during blowing, but DO NOT draw in a breath! Stop blowing when the card indicator turns from orange to yellow (about 1-3 minutes) or after 3 minutes even though the color is not completely changed.
 
d. Fill in the information of the subject on the collection card after sample breath is collected.
 
Sample testing:
Insert the sample card into a measuring slot, and the test will start automatically. The test result will be displayed on the screen when the test completes.
 
Result printing:
The test reports can be printed either from an external printer or built-in micro printer.
