Specification

16 AWG/ 22 AWG Extension Grade SWA Instrumentation Thermocouple Cable are designed to carry communication and control signals in a variety of installation types including those found in the petrochemical industry. The signals can be of analogue, data or voice type and from a variety of transducers such as pressure, proximity or microphone. Instrumentation cables are designed to form part of an intrinsically safe system. These cables are generally designed for indoor use and in environments where mechanical protection is not required. Collectively and individually screened pairs are available within the range where further signal security is required.

Characteristics

1. The permissble long-term working temperature of the cable conductor: XLPE insulated is 90°C, PVC insulated is 70 °C.During the cable laying, the ambient temperature must be above 0 °C.

2. The permissible bending radius in cable laying and installing.

a). For unarmoured cable, it shall not be less than 6 times of external diameter of cable.

b). For armoured or copper tape screened cable, it shall not be less than 12 times of the external diameter of cable.

c). For the flexible cable with screen layers, it shall not be less than 6 times of the external diameter of cable.
