Brief Discription:
Rough mill stand rolls require a combination of properties, some of which cancel each other out, including abrasion resistance, thermal cracking resistance, impact resistance, thermal hardness and thermal strength.Excessive network carbide can improve abrasive resistance and impact resistance, but it seriously reduces fracture toughness, which promotes the formation and development of hot cracks under rough rolling.In order to reduce the influence of excessive carbides and maintain abrasive resistance, alloying elements such as Ni and Mo should be added to make the matrix form bainite/martensite (needle-like), which is more wear-resistant than the usual pearlite matrix.Mo also helps to improve the high temperature hardness of rolls.
GNV roller is made of high alloy material and special heat treatment. The content of carbide in the matrix is less than 5%, which meets the requirements of rough mill stand.
