Pantoprazole sodium, also known as pantoprazole sodium, Northumone, Panmeilu, Pantollock, is an anti-peptic ulcer and acid-preventing and antispasmodic drug. It is mainly used for the treatment of acid-related diseases, such as ten. Duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, reflux esophagitis, acute gastric mucosal lesions, compound ulcers, and other acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding, Zhuo-Hai syndrome, acute pancreatitis, and stress ulcers.
Pantoprazole sodium specifically inhibits the activity of H+-K+-ATPase in parietal cells by acting specifically on gastric mucosal cells, thereby inhibiting the secretion of gastric acid. Compared to omeprazole, pantoprazole sodium has a weaker inhibitory effect on cytochrome P450 enzymes.
Pantoprazole sodium, omeprazole, and lansoprazole are all proton pump inhibitors of gastric wall cells. They are relatively stable under neutral and weakly acidic conditions, and are rapidly activated under strong acidic conditions. Their pH-dependent activation properties It has a better selectivity for the action of H+, K+-ATPase.
