1. Water cooled screw glycol chiller applications
Eurostars water cooled glycol screw chiller is the prime source of customized glycol systems in the cooling equipment industry. We design a glycol chiller with the right set of features that caters to your strict requirements and particular applications. Our powerful and efficient water-cooled screw glyvol chillers are perfectly suited to a wide range of industrial applications, including:
(1)Medical Process Cooling: MRI, CAT and PET scan cooling, operating room AC duty, clean room air conditioning, laboratory testing cooling, etc.
(2)Food Processing Cooling: Low-temperature batch process cooling for dough mixers, brine marinade cooling, vacuum meat tumbling/massaging, ice cream and slushy machine cooling, etc.
(3)Beverage Processing Cooling: Brewery and beverage process control, ice-machine pre-cooling, drinking water fountain cooling, etc.
2. Eurostars water cooled screw glycol chiller main components
(1)Compressor
*Screw compressors have few parts, no wearing parts, stable and reliable operation, long life.
*The screw compressor uses a new generation of high-efficiency 5: 6 patented asymmetric tooth shape design to improve work efficiency.
*Screw type compressor with volumetric design ,small clearance volume, small friction losses, and high operating efficiency.
*The refrigerant circuit and control circuit are completely independent ,can be used alternately according to loading condition, which can effectively extend the service life of the unit. It has the advantages of high efficiency, low energy consumption, low noise, low vibration, wear resistance and high reliability.
(2)Condenser
*Shell and tube condenser, the heat exchange tubes are outer finned copper tube, the cover plates at both ends are removable, can be removed to clean the copper tube.
*The condenser shell is equipped with a fusible plug, effectively ensure the safe operation of the system. The condenser has passed the national pressure vessel inspection.
(3)Evaporator
*Shell and tube type evaporator adopts inner fin copper tube, and is equipped with refrigerant shunting device, which can evenly distribute the refrigerant to each heat exchange tube, which improves the heat exchange efficiency.
*For multi-compressor chiller, each compressor is equipped with an evaporator and a condenser, the three constitute an independent refrigeration system. Due to structural reasons, the water paths of the two evaporators are often connected, but the refrigeration circuits are independent.
*The exterior of the evaporator is affixed with thermal insulation material to avoid the loss of cooling capacity.
(4)Thermal expansion valve
*The world-renowned brand Emerson thermal expansion valve is used for higher control accuracy, wider adjustment range and faster response.
*Under any working conditions, the heat exchange area of the evaporator can be fully utilized, the heat exchange is more sufficient, and the efficiency is higher, which can ensure the reliability of the refrigeration system.

7. How to size a glycol chiller for brewing?
These suggestions assume a decently insulated vessel (neoprene jacket or better) in a modest ambient temperature of 80F (27ºC). If your setup is uninsulated, or running in hotter ambient conditions you'll need to allow for more BTU/hr. The cold crash is figured for about 18hrs, if you want a faster crash you'll need to add more BTU/hr. When in doubt, use the suggestions for a vessel 1-2 sizes bigger than your actual size.
