Septic tanks are equipment that treats feces and filters and settles them. The principle is that the solidified material decomposes at the bottom of the pool, and the upper hydrated objects enter the pipe and flow away, preventing the pipe from being blocked and giving the solidified object (feces and other garbage) sufficient time to hydrolyze. The role of septic tanks
The septic tank is a basic sludge treatment facility and also a pretreatment facility for domestic sewage. Its functions are as follows:
1. Ensure the environmental sanitation of the living community and avoid the spread of domestic sewage and pollutants in the living environment.
2. In the working environment of anaerobic degradation in septic tanks, kill mosquitoes, flies and eggs.
3. Temporary storage of sludge, organic sludge undergoes anaerobic decomposition, and matured organic sludge can be used as agricultural fertilizer.
4. Pretreatment of domestic sewage (primary treatment), precipitation of impurities, and hydrolysis of macromolecular organics into small molecular organics such as acids and alcohols to improve subsequent sewage treatment.

Working Principle
Septic tank is a treatment facility that uses the principles of sedimentation and anaerobic fermentation to remove suspended organic matter in domestic sewage. It is a primary transitional living treatment structure. The domestic sewage contains a lot of feces, paper scraps, pathogens...The solid concentration of suspended solids is 100~350mg/L, the concentration of organic matter CODCr is between 100~400mg/L, and the concentration of suspended organic matter BOD5 is 50~200mg/L . Sewage enters the septic tank for 12 to 24 hours of precipitation, which can remove 50% to 60% of the suspended solids. The sedimented sludge is decomposed by anaerobic fermentation for more than 3 months to decompose the organic matter in the sludge into stable inorganic matter. The perishable raw sludge is transformed into stable cooked sludge, which changes the structure of the sludge. Reduce the moisture content of the sludge. The sludge is regularly removed and transported out, landfilled or used as fertilizer. Requirements: The calculated volume of the sedimentation part and the decomposed part of the septic tank should be determined in accordance with Article 4.8.4 to 4.8.7 of the "Code for Design of Building Water Supply and Drainage" (GB50015-2003). The residence time of sewage in the septic tank should be 12h~36h. For sewage treatment systems without sludge disposal, the volume of the septic tank should also include the volume of sludge storage.
