Product overview
Biocide MBS is an aqueous solution of CMIT, MIT, and BIT micro-biocide. It is a unique
preservative and has been used in a variety of industrial applications, which include water based
coatings such as paints, slurries, dispersed pigments, adhesives, latex emulsions, and process water.
The active ingredients provide broad-spectrum activity against common bacteria and fungi. CMIT,
MIT, and BIT are approved by EPA for industrial applications and are highly recommended for
water containing systems with pH 2-12.

Applications and Application Methods:
Biocide MBS has been used in paints, slurries, dispersed pigments, adhesives, latex emulsion,
process water and other high pH water containing systems. 3D Bio-Chem can assist you to
determine the use level in you specific products. Typical use concentrations are in the range of
0.1-0.8% (w/w) in the final products.
Dosage:
It should be noticed that a good manufacturing practices should be applied and equipment, pipes,
and storage tanks should be sanitized by Biocide DBNPA-20 regularly.
Handling and Storage:
 
Recommended adding at the last stage of the production below 50ºC .Use of personal protective
equipment such as chemical impervious gloves for hands, safety goggles and shields for eyes are
strongly advised. If the product comes in contact with the skin, wash immediately with plenty of
water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
The product should be stored at room temperature.
