Description of angular contact ball bearings:

High precision bearings are sometimes called super precision bearings.  They ar e specifically designed for rigid, high speed, and high precision machine tools spindles, where high speed and high accuracy are critically necessity.

Precision angular contact ball bearings are specially  designed for high precision machines.  They are available in large numbers of sizes of bores, which are almost virtually made available to every machine tools application where the bearings can be used.  It has similar characteristics like a conventional angular contact ball bearings, the inner rings and outer rings ar e offset in certain angle to the bearing axis, where the loads will be transmitted across this angle through the balls.  The design provides a capability to carry axial loads in one direction, in addition to radial loads.  An axial force acting in one direction will be produced under a radial load, and that axial force need to be counteracted, thus angular contact ball bearings are often used in a pair or set.  

angular contact ball bearing 7201 can bear both radial and axial load at the same time. It can operate under high speed. The bigger its contact angular is, the higher its axial load capacity is. Angular contact ball bearing can be divided into two types: single row angular contact ball bearing and double row angular contact ball bearing.

  Single row angular contact ball bearing can only bear axial load in single direcrion. When it bears radial load, it will cause the additional axial force so that it is always used in pair.

  Double row angular contact ball bearing can bear combined radial and axial load which takes the radial load as the principal.

  Single row angular contact ball bearing is mainly used in food machine, electric equipment, painting equipment, high-frequency motor, centrifugal separator, machine spindle, etc.
