THE ADVANTAGES OF OUR NANO CALCIUM CARBONATE IN PAINT USAGE

Regarding our Nano Calcium Carbonate SN-5300 Some information( hints) for coating applications.

The product (SN-5300) works well on solvent based paints such as enamels and is used as extender of TiO2 up to 15% in the formulation.

In water based as well but 12% is a good reality chance of mixing with TiO2, of course has to be considered also the quantity of cellulosic ethers to be added , as due to the absorption of the same , the viscosity goes up, so take care, and besides we have to reconsider the amount of biocides to be added.

Weathering data is not belong to our Calcium Carbonate, if instead of TiO2 in Painting industry, suppose that is belongoxidizing agent,heat stabilizer, however, the hiding power of Titanium Dioxide is 2.1, calcium carbonate is 1.4, so some clients will choose it as replacement in plastic / painting industry.

refractive index is 2.55 around of tio2(Antaste-2.55, rutile-2.73), calcium carbonate is 1.63 (depends on size, the smaller, the refractive will become bigger).

But the key point is we should settle the dispersant / viscosity when you are using our Nano Calcium Carbonate in your replacement.
