1. Introduction
Transition Joint Thermocouples are typically made up of a metal sheathed thermocouple of a given diameter which "transitions" to a lead wire via a slightly larger cylindrical barrel.

This barrel transition is typically made of metal or thermoplastic. It is a low cost thermocouple for general use.
Temperature Max. 200°C to 700°C.

The transition joint relief at the "cold" end of the probe that prevents pinching
of the thermocouple wire that can occur in certain applications. These versatile
probes come in a variety of sheath diameters and materials.
