Glycol Chiller Water Cooling Screw Chiller Integrated Pump And Tank
1. Eurostars water cooled screw glycol chiller main components
(1)Compressor:
Twin screw compressor with efficient 5:6 asymmetric profile and advanced lines design, Its quantity of parts is just 1/10 of piston compressors,so there is much less critical components and no exhaust valve. The inner oil separator makes oil content less than 1.5% in exhaust gas to increase heat transfer efficiency,which can fulfill 10%-100% stepless adjustment by load variation. By means of multi-hand piece cooperation and PLC control technology, water chilling screw chiller units will reach the perfect energy efficiency to save maintenance effectively.
(2)High efficient outer-spiral-rib copper tube designed and manufactured by CAD/CAM.
According to heat
dissipating capacity, velocity flow and scale coefficient, It will calculate effective area of heat transfer surface with 5-10% allowance. The end cover on both sides is also detachable.
(3)Evaporator:
High efficient anti-corrosion Evaporator with direct cooling method requires no other secondary heat exchanger,which saves 36% or more energy than ordinary units, meanwhile it has shorter cooling time and more precise temperature control.
(4)Control System:
Industrial centralized control system with touch screen could switch operation modes and check the working condition of the units. Moreover, its precise cooling capacity and cooling load control will make the units run with best efficiency. It can add remote monitoring, provide RS485 communication interface.

A: Glycol is a water-miscible organic compound in the alcohol family. It is commonly used for cooling in industrial and mechanical applications. Glycol is sometimes called antifreeze or a coolant. Though it acts similarly to a refrigerant, and someone may refer to glycol as a refrigerant, this statement is incorrect. Glycol cools solely through heat transfer in an exchanger; whereas, refrigerant uses an evaporation-condensation cycle to remove heat.
Q: What does glycol do in a processing cooling system?
A: The most important role glycol plays in a process cooling system is to adjust the temperature range of the system. Without any glycol in the system, the water will freeze at the normal 32°F (0°C). In this case, the system ambient temperature can never go below this temperature. However, many systems need temperature flexibility as pipes travel outside and into unheated areas. Adding glycol to the water lowers the freezing point. The percent of glycol determines what the new freezing point will be.
A lower freezing point means process fluid can be kept at colder temperatures. A greater difference between medium temperatures allows for a faster heat transfer process. Heat always travels in the direction of higher temperature to lower temperature. When a coolant with a colder temperature is used, more of the energy can be transferred from the other fluid or process to the coolant.
