This product is a kind of resin extracted from the lipidic wood of Dracaena lanceolata, a Liliaceae plant. It can be broken or crushed into fine powder, irregular pieces, reddish brown to black brown, glossy, and some with a small amount of reddish brown powder. It's brittle and porous. The gas is special, slightly fragrant, light and slightly astringent. Chew it with a sense of charcoal particles and slightly sticky teeth. The product is soluble in methanol, ethanol or dilute alkali solution, but insoluble in water, ether and dilute acid solution
