7. Character:  It is white powder, possessing an alkaline, slightly bitter taste. 1 g dissolves in 630mL of water at 25ºC, and in 1300mL of boiling water. It is soluble in glycerin and in a saturated solution of sucrose, but is insoluble in alcohol.
8. Usages: It is used in bleach, hard water softener, tap water disinfection clarifier and construction industry. It can be used as rubber, petroleum industry additive, can be used in lubricating oil to prevent coking, mud deposition, neutralization anticorrosion.
