Active Power Filter
Active power filter (APF) is a new type of power electronic device used to dynamically suppress harmonics and compensate reactive power. It can compensate the harmonics and reactive power with varying magnitude and frequency.
The active power filter is called active. As the name implies, the device needs to provide power (to compensate the harmonic of the main circuit). Its application can overcome the shortcomings of traditional harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation methods such as LC filter (the traditional only fixed compensation), realize dynamic tracking compensation, and can compensate both harmonic and reactive power.
1. Product function:
APF series active power filter collects the harmonic current of the system through the current transformer, calculates and extracts the content of each harmonic current quickly through the controller, generates the harmonic current command, generates the compensation current with the same direction and opposite direction of the harmonic current amplitude through the power executive device, and injects it into the power system, so as to cancel the harmonic current generated by the nonlinear load.
2. Application scope:
It is suitable for parallel connection in the low-voltage distribution system with harmonic load, and can track and compensate the dynamic harmonic current in real time.
