XHDD503A adapt for the audio magnetic synchronous method to pinpoint.This method is accuracy based on traditional audio magnetic pin-pointing method but with improvement. Traditional method use the high voltage generator to impact the fault cable by DC high voltage to make the fault point breakdown and discharge.The mechanical vibration from this delivered to the earth and be collected by the sensor.Through the monitoring earphone,user could hear special 'bang'.But as voice is short,and may noise environment interference exist,it's not very easy to the common user. As improvement,some devices adopt a indicator light(or meter) to indicate when high voltage impacting and discharging,which is synchronous with the special sound.But even so,it still requires rich experience to use. Now our XHDD503A use the discharging impulse magnetic fields as the synchronous signal, digitization audio and display it as waveform. This is easy to keep and is very different from the noise waveform. More important, the waveform is similar for multiple discharging.It's definitive sampling the discharge audio successfully when saw these waveforms. When site testing, it's not easy to tell the accuracy fault point just according the discharge audio, special when the cable is laid in the pipe. But we could solve this problem through testing the time difference between magnetic signal and audio signal. Keep moving the sensor to find the point with min. time difference, and this will be the fault point.
