10Gbe Media Converter XFP is a copper to fiber 10G Ethernet media converter based on IEEE 802.3an and IEEE 802.3ae. With SNMP and Webbased management in the 2U 16 Slot Managed Media Converter Chassis, the administrator can monitor, configure and control the activity of each card in the chassis. This converter uses Cat.6a/Cat 7 twisted pair cable as copper transmission media with RJ-45 and 10G optical solution with SFP+/XFP modules. The data stream can be converted bi-directionally from 10G Base-T to 10G Base-R and vice versa. With full duplex wire speed forwarding capability between these two media, the 10Gbe Media Converter XFP brings you the best and simplest solution for the 10G Ethernet conversion between copper wire and fiber.

10Gbe Media Converter XFP enhance an organization's current enterprise network by facilitating fiber-optic links from 10GBase-T switches or by extending a 10 Gig Ethernet fiber optic link. By leveraging 10Gbe Media Converter XFP, Ethernet-trained network technicians need minimal training to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks. The use of a single protocol throughout the network makes connecting from access to backbone to metropolitan network seamless, resulting in low-latency switching without the need for the packet fragmentation, reassembling, or address translation when reformatting a data stream to another network protocol.

Our converters are available in two form factors, chassis-based slide-in cards and stand-alone converters, allowing you the most flexibility for your network. FR6000 series together with the MUX and DEMUX can offer a space-efficient and cost-effective solution for xWDM transmission. Complete system information can be set up and displayed, including the name of chassis, terrain and related information of IP, constant operating time and the versions of the hardware and software.
