      The active ingredient extracted from the fruit of Schisandra chinensis (Magnoliaceae). Fructus schisandrae has the function of collecting lung, nourishing kidney, Shengjin and antiperspiration. It is often used for cough, asthenia and asthma for a long time, jin less thirsty, body deficiency and sweat, wet dreams, diarrhea and other diseases. Also used in the treatment of acute, chronic and prolonged pneumonia. It has the effect of significantly reducing serum alanine aminotransferase. A class of lignans extracted from the kernels of Schisandra chinensis. Its structure can be represented by schisandrae propanin. In different products, the methylene dioxy group on the benzene ring can be replaced by two methoxy groups, and the lipid shelf portion of the eight-memed ring can also have one or more hydroxyl groups (or their ester groups).
