Fragrance: With mellow aroma of rose and geraniol. Honey is sweet, slightly clear, and the aroma is stable and long lasting. The freshly steamed geraniol oil sometimes has a peculiar smell, with a small amount of sulfide aroma, which can disappear after a short storage.

Solubility: unstable to strong acid, geraniol ester and citronellol ester will be partially saponified in alkaline. It is soluble in ethanol, benzyl benzoate and most vegetable oils. It is often milky white in mineral oil. It is insoluble in glycerin.

Preparation method: The oil is extracted from fresh stems and leaves by steam distillation, the yield is 0.1-0.3%, and a small amount is made into extract and pure oil.

Main ingredients: geraniol, citronellol, linalool, isomenthone, menthone, geraniol formate, citronellyl formate, neral, geranial, eugenol, isoamyl alcohol and other ingredients.
