Uses	Lincomycin has an antibacterial effect with respect to Gram-positive microorganisms (staphylococci, streptococci, pneumococci, diphtheria bacillus, and clostridia). It is used for serious bacterial infections: sepsis, osteomyelitis, septic endocarditis, pneumonia, pulmonary abscess, infected wounds, and purulent meningitis. Lincomycin is a reserve drug for infections caused by strains of staphylococci and other Gram-positive microorganisms that are resistant to penicillin and other antibiotics.

        Lincomycin is a lincomide antibiotic produced by Streptomyceslincolnensis. It acts on the sensitive bacterial ribosomes and prevents the extension of the peptide chain by binding to the central ring of the 50S subunit 23srRNA gene, thereby inhibiting the protein synthesis of bacterial cells. Clinically, lincomycin is mainly used in the treatment of infectious diseases caused by Gram-positive bacteria. Lincomycin is also used in the semisynthetic preparation of clindamycin, a semisynthetic chlorinated derivative of lincomycin, which is suitable for a variety of infectious diseases caused by Gelan-positive and anaerobic bacteria, as well as for the treatment of infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.            Lincomycin is also known as clean mycin. Fermentation filtrate of Streptomyceslincolnensis was obtained. Its hydrochloride is easily soluble in water and its properties are stable. The antibacterial effect is similar to erythromycin, but the antibacterial spectrum is narrow, and it is invalid to gram-negative bacteria and mycoplasma almost all, mainly to gram-positive bacteria, some anaerobes and mildewy forms. Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic streptococcus, pneumococcus and porcine pneumoniae form, chicken septic form sensitive to this product, but enterococcus is generally resistant to this product; Anaerobic bacteria such as Bacteroidetes, tetanus, Clostridium, Clostridium Welchii, digestive coccus are also sensitive to this product. Mainly used for the treatment of gram-positive bacteria, especially penicillin resistant gram-positive bacteria caused by a variety of infections, moldy body caused by poultry chronic respiratory disease, pig panting disease, anaerobic bacteria infection such as chicken necrotizing enteritis, but also used for the treatment of pig treponema dysentery, toxoplasmosis and dog, cat actinomycetes.
