Trypsin inhibitor produced by Streptomyces roseus Streptomyces roseus MB-26-AI is one of many protease inhibitors. 
Pure leucopeptidin has a melting point of 110-140 ºC, soluble in water,  ethanol, butanol and dimethyl sulfoxide, but insoluble . It reacted with Rydon-Smith and Sakaguchi and showed positive reaction to ninhydrin,  anthrone and Molly. 
Purpose: biochemical research. 
It can inhibit trypsin, papain, histidase B, blood plasmin, kallikrein and so on. 
It can inhibit a variety of serine and cysteine .
