Chesterton 170L is designed for sealing mineral-based process materials such as ores, limestone, coal, sugar, and phosphates. The innovative, non-clog seal uses a unique coil spring design in which the springs are located entirely outside the seal.

Engineered for harsh, heavy consistency slurry environments, this seal's unique, no-clog design reduces or eliminates costly external seal flushes. The Chesterton 170 improves plant efficiencies by reducing product dilution and increasing production rates.
Our seals are interchangeable with Flowserve SLC and Garlock GPA with quench and as replacement seals used for famous slurry pumps, Ingersoll-Dresser pumps, coal pumps, SIHI-Schabaver pumps, Schnerder pumps.
