Indication:
1. As an alternative drug for penicillin allergy patients to treat the following infections: acute tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis and sinusitis caused by hemolytic streptococcus and Streptococcus pneumoniae; scarlet fever and cellulitis caused by hemolytic streptococcus; diphtheria and diphtheria carriers; gas gangrene, anthrax, tetanus; actinomycosis; syphilis; listeriosis, etc.
2. Legionellosis.
3. Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia.
4. Chlamydia pneumoniae pneumonia.
5. Other urogenital infections caused by Chlamydia and mycoplasma.
6. Chlamydia trachomatis conjunctivitis.
7. Oral infection caused by anaerobic bacteria.
8. Campylobacter jejuni enteritis.
9. Pertussis.
10. Recurrence of rheumatic fever, infective endocarditis (rheumatic heart disease, congenital heart disease, after heart valve replacement), prevention of oral or upper respiratory tract infection (penicillin replacement).

Adverse reactions

1. After taking this product, hepatotoxicity is more common than other erythromycin preparations. After taking this product for several days or 1-2 weeks, patients may have fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, rash, fever, etc. Sometimes jaundice, liver function test showed cholestasis, often recovered after withdrawal.
2. Gastrointestinal reactions include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, upper and middle abdominal pain, tongue and mouth pain, hypogastria, etc.
3. High dose (≥ 4G / day) application, especially in patients with liver and kidney diseases or elderly patients, may cause hearing loss, which is mainly related to high blood concentration (] 12mg / L), and most of them can recover after drug withdrawal.
4. Allergic reactions were drug fever, rash, eosinophilia, etc. The incidence was about 0.5% - 1%.
5. Others: occasional arrhythmia, oral or vaginal Candida infection.

Taboo:

Matters needing attention:
1. It is more common that alt, AST, AKP and bilirubin increase after taking this product than other erythromycin preparations.
