The measurement principle of the Automatic FAME Rancimat Oxidation Stability Apparatus is that the sample is placed in a constant temperature aluminum heating block, and clean air is passed into the biodiesel sample, and the air flows through the sample into the measuring cell containing the absorption liquid and bubbling. The end of the induction period is accompanied by the production of a secondary reaction product, a volatile organic acid (mainly formic acid), which causes the conductivity in the measuring cell to accelerate.
