A monomer drug with anti-arrhythmic activity was extracted from the root tuber of Aconitum polygonatum (Aconitum polygonatum) of ranunculaceae. Its molecular formula is C24H31NO6 and its density is 1.43g/cm3.

Pharmacological effects:

It is suggested that the injection can inhibit ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation induced by high calcium, ligation of coronary arteries,  nitrate, and atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation induced by acetylcholine chloride. The main ionic mechanism of its anti-arrhythmic action is the inhibition of fast Na+ channel, which is a multi-ion channel blocker with the advantages of class iii anti-arrhythmic drugs.
