Common name:C-276,INCONEL Alloy C-276,HC-276,Hastelloy C-276,UNS N10276,W.-Nr. 2.4819,ATI C-276,Nicrofer 5716 hMoW-Alloy C-276,NAS NW276
HASTELLOY C276 is a Nickel-chromium-molybdenum wrought alloy, the content of Silicon and Carbon is very less that is considered as the most versatile corrosion resistant alloy. This alloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, thus making it suitable for most chemical process applications in an as welded condition. Alloy C-276 also has excellent resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1038ºC. Alloy C-276 has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments.
Characteristics
This alloy is one of the few alloys resistant to wet chloride gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions,it has exceptional resistance to strong solutions of oxidizing salts, such as ferric and cupric chlorides. And it is not prone to grain boundary precipitation in the as welded condition and therefore suitable for many chemical process applications.
