Methylboronic acid is a reagent for derivatizing many carbohydrates and biologically active compounds for GLC analysis. It is reagent for the synthesis of asymmetrical monosulfides from disulfides via copper-catalyzed coupling with boronic acids. Also used in a palladium-catalyzed coupling.
Methylboronic acid is used as boron compounds intermediates in organic synthesis. This chemical is stable at common pressure and temperature, and it should be sealed and stored in a cool, ventilated and dry place.
