Indications:
It is used for genitourinary infections caused by sensitive bacteria, including simple and complicated urinary tract infections, bacterial prostatitis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae urethritis or cervicitis (including those caused by enzyme production). It can also treat respiratory tract infections, including acute bronchial infections caused by sensitive Gram-negative bacilli and pulmonary infections, gastrointestinal infections, from Shigella, Salmonella, enterotoxin-producing Escherichia coli, Aeromonas hydrophila Caused by Vibrio parahaemolyticus. It also has a good effect on typhoid, bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections, sepsis and other systemic infections.
Pharmacology and toxicity
Broad spectrum aerobicidal quinolone antibiotic. In vitro ciprofloxacin lactate can resist all of the G^- Bacteria effectively. It also has effect on the resistance of G⁺ Bacteria. But it has lower sensibility for the anaerobic bacteria. As a kind of bactericidal agent, ciprofloxacin can inhibit DNA screw enzyme, preventing them from the metabolism, and lead to bacteria dead.
Pharmacokinetics
After administering by intravenous drip 0.2g or 0.4g, the plasma peak concentration(C_max) is 2.1μg/ml and 4.6μg/ml respectively. The medicine distributes widely to all kinds of tissues and body liquids(including cerebrospinal fluid), the concentration in the tissues usually exceed the concentration in the plasma. The binding rate with protein is about 20%~40%. 50%~70% of Ciprofloxacin Lactate is excreted, about 15% of the medicine is excreted as metabolism and a large amount of the medicine is excreted in bile and dejection.
