Structures
AAC conductor are formed by several wires of aluminum .
AAAC conductor are formed by several wires of aluminum alloy .
ACSR conductor are formed by several wires of aluminum and galvanized steel, stranded in concentric layers.
AAC-All Aluminum Conductor
1. Standard: According to China standard GB1179-1999(Equal to IEC61089),also can do by standard of ASTM232,BS215,DIN and AS/NZS or other standards.
2. Construction: AAC cable is composed by bare concentric-lay-stranded aluminum wires with a straight round central aluminum wire surrounded by one or more layers of helically layed aluminium wires.
3. Characters: Under the same weight,AAC is with higher DC resistance and lower cost than Copper conductor.Aluminium is light and be easy to lay. AAC cable is widely used in overhead electric power transimission lines and distribution system with various grade voltages. It is one of the main products to form electrified wire network.
AAAC, All Aluminum Alloy Conductor
1. Standard: BS EN 50183, ASTM B399, DIN 48201
2. Specification: AAAC are composed by bare concentric-lay-stranded aluminium alloy wires.
3. Application: Used as bare overhead conductor for primary and secondary distribution. Designed utilizing a high-strength aluminum alloy to achieve a high strength-to-weight ratio; affords better sag characteristics. Aluminum alloy gives AAAC higher resistance to corrosion than ACSR.
ACSR (Aluminum conductor steel reinforced)
1. Brief Description
ACSR conductor consists of a solid or stranded steel core surrounded by strands of aluminium (E.C.GRADE).
2. Application
Widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels, because they have such good characteristics as simple structure, convenient installation and maintenance, low cost large transmission capacity. And they are also suitable for laying across rivers valleys and the places where special geographical features exist.
